Zhong He "Gu Shu" 2016 - Aged Sheng Pu'er Brick (Raw Pu'er) | ho yum tea
top of page

Compressed tea brick from a family garden in Zhong He mountain. Old to ancient tea tree leaves over 80 years old (gu shu 古樹) that grow in altitude of 2,070m high. A very rich tea with complex earth and dried fruit notes. Dark orange liquor that turns brandy-red.

Prestigious vintage tea at a league of  its own, which will continue to gain value and character (see storage instructions). A late compression version of Mr. Wong's masterpiece from 2013. The same batch of leaves is kept for another 3 years until further compression, this time into a brick (chocolate bar) of medium size weighing 180 grams. Tea is denser than its big brother, more sour tannins and a less smoky feel.

Recommended for drinking in the first part of the day, from Spring to Autumn. Tea is rich in theine (caffeine) which supports the function of the spleen and stomach when consumed in the morning.
