Naturally grown white tea from He Tao Yuan mountain 核桃園 ("Walnut Garden" in Mandarin) in Yongde district, Western Yunnan, China. Hand-picked tender leaves using the Bai Mudan picking standard - one bud one leaf. Early April harvest 2023 using sustainable farming methods, without using pesticides, nor fertilizers (uncertified organic tea). Picked from trees aged 90 years and above, grown at an altitude of 1,700 meters. The leaves were sun-dried in & out-door, in the morning time and afternoon hours.
We are probably the first to source tea from this beautiful mountain, and it's not the first time :) In spring 2021, we introduced our blind tasting club members with a unique and challenging profiled Sheng Pu'er tea from He Tao Yuan, which became a special project - a tea cake where every step of production and packing was 100% handmade. This was probably the first time leaves from this mountain crossed China's borders.
The tea was shinning in its first year with us and was exclusively sold in our studio. Now, the remaining stock is offered for sale on the website. Suitable for drinking in the first half of the day, throughout the year.
