Original light wulong tea from Xiping village in Anxi county, Fujian province, China. Premium Autumn 2024 harvest, an exceptionally rare wild version of Tie Guan Yin produced using the traditional Xiao Zheng 消正 method, known for its full-bodied character, balanced floral aroma combined with refreshing herbal notes, and one of the longest aftertastes (huigan) in the culinary world. This tea offers remarkable presence and energy for its genre, thanks to the natural growth conditions of bushes reaching up to 2 meters, without using pesticides, fertilization, watering or trimming, at an altitude of 500-550 meters above sea level.
This tea is the result of unprecedented fieldwork and research in Fujian province, where we currently live. Naturally grown cultivated tea without human intervention, known as ye fang 野放, is one of our specialties in the tea world. We've been pioneering this approach in recent years, including our themed tea tours in Taiwan, the first of their kind in the world. This is a special opportunity with limited stock of traditional, pure, and energetic tea unmatched in its genre.
The package contains 4 individually vacuum-packed servings of 6 grams each, preserving freshness and leaf wholeness. Due to the tea variety (hong xin tie guan yin 紅心鐵觀音) and processing method, it's your decision whether to maintain freshness by storing the tea in its original vacuum-sealed package in the freezer, or to allow the tea to age naturally in dry, shaded conditions, away from temperature fluctuations and strong odors. Suitable for drinking throughout the day, from spring to autumn.
